INTRODUCTION

Through HEEP participants will learn about Financial Literacy, Employment and Entrepreneurship (F.L.E.E) at a very young age. This will be accomplished mainly through our FREE “Power of the Dollar” course valued at $4,000. There will also be an Economic Education Tour, Books, Tapes, Literature, Jobs, and Training programs, Internships, Mentors, Financial Advisors, the Hip-Hop Online Mall and the HEEP Debit MasterCard. Through this very important program we can provide our participants with the education, experience and resources for Economic Empowerment and Financial Stability.

In an effort to solicit Sponsorship for deserving and/or less fortunate individuals who want to join the Hip-Hop Summit Youth Council or our new Hip-Hop Economic Empowerment Program (HEEP) we are launching our Sponsor-A-Youth Initiative (SAY). With your support we will be able to offer many “Hot New Benefits” to young people who are in need of guidance, working to graduate from school and striving to be a productive citizen.

Eliminating poverty by teaching our participants how to Save, Make and Manage Money is no easy task, but yet a necessary skill for success. We are in a recession; the job market is declining, and there are a record number of foreclosures. It is imperative that young people receive a Financial Education to mange their personal and business affairs. It is our hope that you will join us in our efforts to provide innovative activities that will help young people break the cycles of School dropouts, Recidivism, Poverty, HIV/AIDS, Teen Pregnancy, Obesity, Substance Abuse, Unemployment, Gun & Gang Violence. “SAY” is a way to provide our participants with a real opportunity for success, as well as join our work with the United Nations to reduce global poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
